Tina* visited the Wickenburg New Life Pregnancy Center regularly for classes for about six months after she moved to town for work and a new start in life. The center staff soon discovered Tina was a Christian. Little by little, she shared her story with the staff. She knew the Lord, but had wandered away from the truth after becoming involved in an unhealthy relationship. When she found out she was pregnant, her boyfriend left her and Tina found herself on her own.
Pregnant and alone, Tina realized that God’s amazing strength was what she needed. She returned to Him and began to work hard to provide for her and her baby boy. She loves her son and is dedicated to seeing he has what he needs. She diligently works to support them with their own home and food. She attends the pregnancy center for parenting classes in order to earn diapers, clothes and toys, and also earned a brand new crib for her son.
Tina recently began going through a Bible study at the center specifically for single moms and has been encouraged and helped by the grace and wisdom shared through the study. She is humble and faithful to wait on God’s timing for her life – even though it means struggling right now. Tina says she “learned the hard way” that God does know what is best for her. She sees how He has proven Himself as her provider and healer. She strives each day to be thankful for all she and her son do have.
What joy to see how God can work powerfully in and through even the most difficult circumstances! Tina is a beautiful, strong woman in the Lord and her son is a sweet and happy boy. When the world tried to break and shame her, Jesus was her strength and her healer.
